Drewstone is a traditional 300 acre family-run sheep/arable farm in an idyllic country setting in the foothills of Exmoor, full of unspoilt character and wildlife habitat with its own wildlife lake. We have 3 self-catering cottages - each of individual character and equipped to the same standard - to let for holidays, weekend and mid-week breaks.

Exmoor with its heathered moorland, wooded valleys and winding rivers makes spectacular picnic spots. We highly recommend you take time out to visit Tarr Steps, Landacre Bridge, Watersmeet, Lynmouth, Dunkery Beacon and Selworthy .

The market town of South Molton 3 miles away provides a supermarket, sports facilities including swimming pool, and all necessary services. Cosy country pubs provide an ideal location for eating out. The shopping centre of Barnstaple is 15 miles away.

Nearby Croyde, famous for its surfing, Woolacombe Putsborough & Saunton provide the finest quality beaches, and further along the coast to the west is the unique cobbled fishing village of Clovelly.


Wildlife Lake

The Cottages are all furnished and equipped to provide tasteful and homely accommodation, including: woodburners, colour television, video, radio, pine furniture throughout, kitchen/diner, electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, use of tumble dryer, iron, electric meter, cot/high chair, duvets, towels and bed linen provided, garden furniture/barbeque, ample parking and delightful country walks, with freedom to roam the farm, lambing time is fascinating for children, or just relax in your own enclosed garden. The farm has been featured on Johnny Kingdom's BBC2 wildlife series 'A Year on Exmoor'.

Pets by arrangement. Smoking is not allowed inside the cottages.

All cottages are perfectly suited for out of season and short breaks, offering real country cottage charm.

Woodland Hideaway is a three bedroom cottage overlooking a wooded valley, with views to Dartmoor forty miles away. Excellent for nature lovers & providing the ideal get away from it all location.

Farmhouse Cottage is a three bedroom 16th Century cottage retaining all its original ode-world character. It is totally private with a separate entrance and enclosed garden.

Drewstone Arches is a detached barn conversion with striking character. Upstairs lounge and kitchen to maximise outstanding views.
